It is the mission of The Connected Equestrian to provide its clients with safe, enjoyable quality horsemanship/riding instruction.
Volunteers help us create this environment and experience for clients who need additional support while riding.
All volunteers must attend a training before being scheduled. We want to ensure that all volunteers are properly utilized, that they receive ongoing training, and feel appreciated for their efforts.
What’s Next?
Attend a Training
Everyone who wishes to be a part of The Connected Equestrian must first attend a volunteer training. At this training, you will learn the important role volunteers play in therapeutic horseback riding activities and the expectations of the job.
Discuss Availability
After completing the training, volunteers will sign up for their available day(s) and time(s). Consistency is important to the success of our riders. Please discuss scheduling needs with as much advance notice as possible.
Come to Class
Plan to arrive 15 minutes early to sign in and read volunteer assignments. Instructors will use this time to finalize the day’s activities and discuss rider objectives for the lesson. This is a great time to get comfortable with other volunteers and prepare for the fun ahead!
